ENTRY INTO HONORS COURSES

We believe all of our students should have the opportunity to participate in courses with the highest rigor. While all of our courses have been designed with rigor in mind, the honors courses go beyond the college preparatory courses with an additional commitment to the amount of work that is required for successful completion.

Students are reminded that additional work and time is involved in being in an honors course. They should also remember that, unlike college prep courses, grades in these courses are weighted. If a student does not meet entry criteria they will be notified; however, if the parents and student still wish to take the class, they should contact their guidance counselor for more information. Students planning to take AP courses in the future are strongly encouraged to enroll in Honors courses for prerequisite coursework.

Any student interested in taking honors courses must complete the online application.
